A model which expresses EYEVAN’s vision for French vintage by the thick edgy front and extra thick wide temples. The front and temple hinges are original reproductions of designs from the 60`s and placement hinges is adopted, it is the model with attention to the detail.
A model combined a slightly thick rectangular front in a front view with distinctive temples with bevel cuts on the top and bottom, which are seen in rare French vintage frames from the 1950s. The front has a hinge fixing with 3 pins on both sides and the temples have a hinge fixing with 2 pins for an authentic look. The sunglass lenses use the originally colored CR-39 2-curve lenses.
Based on the American vintage frames made in the 1920s, which were inherited from the original design team, the frames were made into what EYEVAN considers to be an authentic design today. This model is made without compromising on details, such as the characteristic rounded finish of the end piece and temple joints, and the structure of the bridge, which is stepped by cutting 6mm of acetate instead of using a curved mold, and the same style as in those days is reproduced by hand by skilled craftsman.
This model was inspired by an American vintage front design that appeared in eyewear catalogs in the 1960s.
The temples, with the characteristic design reminiscent of German design, are the design used in Eyevan’s “E-31” model released in the 80’s.
This time, the design is reproduced for the first time in more than 40 years.
The design source for the titanium endpiece that matches the small P3 shaped plastic front is a buckle from British military wear in the 40’s. The front of SG version is cut with a hydraulic press to leave the outline, the model with attention to the detail. 2 base original colored CR 39 lens are adopted for the SG version.
This frame has pattern of “VAN” (original pattern that alphabets V.A.N are hidden) embossed on the surface overall.
The pattern is designed in straight lines, but with the hand-craved master (metal mold) created by one craftsman, leads to bring a soft apparence which isn’t too sharp.

This is a sunglasses version of PUERTO with a front that expresses the P3 shape of the ’50s in the EYEVAN style, and parts inspired by classic cars are placed on the endpiece.
